Also, Penguicon is coming up at the end of this month April 29th - May 1st. Penguicon was the first con that my hubby and I ever went to, and we've pretty much been hooked ever since. On the off chance that you've never heard me mention Penguicon or what it's all about before, here's the skinny. "Penguicon is a non-profit, community-run convention for open source software and hardware, science fiction, gaming, DIY, and more." And it really is so much more with a literature track, a science track, costumes, and all kinds of geeky fun! I highly recommend it as a moderately priced, starter convention.
This year I was going to take it easy and planned on being on the minimum number of panels to qualify for a discounted badge...yeah, that didn't happen. I am now on four panels, hosting a 2 hour writing workshop, and doing a reading and autograph signing in the brand new Writer's Block. So much for a nice relaxing con. Oh well. Hope to see you there!
