1) What do you wish people would ask you about your writing?
This...is a really challenging question. Hm. I mean, I honestly enjoy talking about all parts of the writing process—and people do ask me about just about every part of the writing process, so there's that? I think I enjoy talking about my process the most, so that's always fun, but honestly, if it has to do with writing or even my experience publishing, I'm game.
2) Which of your characters would you most like to meet and why?
Deimos! He's a new character in Into the Black and pretty much won my heart over immediately. He'd make me laugh and also is just a genuinely good egg.
3) Since many people mistakenly assume your book is set on mars, if you'd known this was going to be the case, would you have changed the title from Beyond the Red?
That's actually pretty funny about the Mars thing! You know, I wouldn't change the title because I really think it fits so well both with the book and the trilogy as a whole—plus changing the title would mean changing the titles for Into the Black and The Rising Gold which...no thank you I like those titles. I figure the Mars thing, while an entertaining mistake, is easy enough to fix because once people read the back cover copy they know the book does not in fact take place on Mars.
