nevertheless - I always forget if this is hyphenated or all one word or what - one word, no hyphens
ends meet - Don't know why, but I always thought that this was ends meat
bureaucracy - can never spell this one and thesaurus (usually my quickie spell-checker) doesn't know what
the heck I'm talking about
accommodation - again another spelling stumbler
definitely - this was an old stumbler that I now remember how to spell
terms of endearment like sweetie, honey, snookums, etc. - these are not capitalized
susurration - another spelling stumbler that even Firefox can't spell
when to use lay - you cannot lay on a bed, but you can lay the pillow on the bed (you must lie in a bed)
I know that I have a lot (not alot) more of these, but I can't think of them now. I'll have to compile a more extensive list next time I'm on a writing roll. Or feel free to let me know some of your stumblers.
