Slashdot Video!

Picture
So finally the people who filmed one of my panels at Detcon1, Science Fiction Predictions that Have Become Reality, have posted it in two parts on Slashdot. So excited to now be on "Nerd T.V." (although gosh do I hate the sound of my own voice)! Also, they listed me as an author, which is pretty cool. I highly recommend the videos to anyone who would like to see me make a number of ridiculous facial expressions, talk with my hands, and babble somewhat incoherently while trying to appear smart...oh, also if you like the topic of science fiction that's become nonfiction. I am joined on the panel by heir professor Brian Gray and Air Force veteran Douglas Johnson. Cheers!

P.S. I also highly recommend using the links provided because just searching on Slashdot will nab you a description of the videos and over a hundred comments, but no actual videos.
P.P.S. The picture has nothing to do with the videos, just a nice fall pic. :)

My name is Jen Haeger and I have a degree in Veterinary Medicine as well as a Master's in Forensic Science, so I decided to forget all that and write  novels. I used to read quite a bit as a youth, but was not introduced to truly spectacular writing until my husband showed me the works of Jim Butcher, Neil Gaiman, Philip Pullman, and others. We are both enormous dorks and enjoy Science Fiction, Fantasy, Board Games, and RPGs, but also try to get out backpacking every once in a while (much easier to do when we lived in New Zealand). Cheers!
